This program is for the muscles around your face, mouth, and tongue. These exercises are designed to improve issues with talking, eating, or breathing.
Myofunctional therapy is a therapy for the head, neck, and jaw, as well as the muscles that surround and support the tongue.
Four goals of myofunctional therapy are nasal breathing all day and night, proper tongue posture, proper lip seal and proper swallowing.
A full therapy program typically consists of 12-15 total session with each session being in person or by zoom for about 30-45 mins.

Myofunctional Therapy:
Cori talks about the goals of myofunctional therapy and process in our office
“Myofunctional therapy is best described as a type of therapy for the head, neck, and jaw, as well as the muscles surrounding and supporting the tongue.”
Orofacial myofunctional disorders can negatively affect the muscles of the face and mouth. This can create maladaptive habits and patterns that, if left untreated, can have severe consequences.
